Tottenham are finally beginning to build momentum under Roberto De Zerbi at a stage of the season where mistakes could no longer be afforded. After drawing with Brighton, Spurs followed up with back-to-back away victories against Wolverhampton and Aston Villa, the latter secured through early strikes from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison in a 2-1 triumph.

Although the North London side still sit lower in the table than expected, their survival hopes are now firmly back in their own control. Tottenham’s home form has been poor throughout the campaign, with only 11 points collected from 17 league matches, but De Zerbi’s high-intensity pressing system has started to take shape. However, Okafor’s absence is a significant setback for the visitors.
